Steve West started building web sites as a hobby in 1997 writing the html code in Microsoft Notepad. At that time he was a sales rep for a yellow page publisher in the Los Angeles, CA area. In 1998, as general sales manager, he created the internet division bringing the publisher and clients into the information age. In 2000 the opportunity came to join one of the world's largest online directories as national sales trainer.
In 2001 Steve began doing business as Profits On The Web serving local businesses in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex. The mission, "Provide custom websites to small businesses at rates competitive with the Do-It-Yourself template sites. The internet was making it possible for small businesses to compete with their larger competitors and Profits On The Web helped small businesses capitalize on the internet opportunities.
Today, Profits On The Web has established a network of independent professionals and companies in web site design & development, programming, graphic design, marketing, advertising, computer services, web site hosting, domain name registration, and video production.
